The
Germanic pagan pantheon that Temple of Wotan is giving to you for
reference is not to be taken as a dogmatic literal translation of the
will of Wotan but, a guide to help you piece together the forces that
bind nature which we accept as our Gods.
The spellings, pronunciations and names of our Holy Powers may be
interpreted differently by individual Wotanists but, we as Wotanists do
call the driving force behind creation Wotan. The God Wotan is the God
of Nature and his commands are made manifest by the Laws of Nature. The
other Gods are the manifest forces within the universe that while
invisible make their presence known to us by sometimes obvious and
sometimes through more subtle ways which we interpret to the folk
through our sacred myth and lore. The number of gods given to you
number 28. 4 sets of 7 representing the 4 elements earth, air, fire and
water. 2 sets of 14. 1 set the astral level and 1 set the earthly level
coinciding with the two sets of sacred 14 words and their meanings
which complement each other. These sets also equal 28 as to invoke the
gestation cycle which is 280 days and that represents the natural goal
of all species which is racial preservation. The Gods and a brief
description of them are as follows:
